I purchased this camera to use as an "everyday" camera when I didn't want to take my Canon. Its size makes it easy to attach a 50mm or smaller 80-200mm lens and drop it in a coat pocket on even a belt bag. As for photos, it performs great, though the LED screen is somewhat difficult to view in bright / direct sunlight, ( but, if one knows how to use the distance scale on a lens and knows the lens's "sweet spot", this won't be an issue). It also works great for macro work as the tilt screen and its size allows for angles and tight spots a Canon or Nikon can't go. Its mirror-less, hence no traditional view finder. Getting used to that can be a bit challenging at first, and it would help if Sony had not positioned the controls as they did as big hands tend to bump tightly spaced buttons. That said, its a great little camera that packs a pretty good sized bang! I can mount anything from a pancake to a 400mm + telephoto and get some great shots! I should note that I do not use Sony lenses. I grew up on film and shoot in Manual mode exclusively, therefore, I can't attest to any of the auto settings. But as for Manual, it does great by me. Will it replace my Canon? Nope! But as a walk-about / macro camera, it was worth the $ 130 I spent. I should note that the ISO 16,000 with the built in auto-noise reduction makes for some good low light / night shooting. My canon will do 12,000 ISO, but its pretty grainy, this little guy puts that grain to bed!Read full review
I needed a few replacement parts for my existing NEX-F3. This was perfect.
