In my opinion, it's the best fine primer around. Assuming good surface preparation, it produces a really smooth surface that holds the Tamiya lacquers beautifully. It sure makes my aircraft models look good! I wouldn't think of using any other final primer.

I have found that the Tamiya Grat primer is the best base for my modeling with Metal Ships. Smooth surface for follow on painting.

Good model primer. Goes on easy, coats well, and so far paint adheres well. Good stuff.

The best primer for retaining details and for model projects. This is the best primer I have used. It lays on thin and retains fine details while others clump up, lay on too thick and ruin fine details. It actually lasted longer than I expected as well.

This pearl white spray paint is good but note that it would be more accurate to call it ‘pearl grey’.
