      Raymarine Spares which give you that 'Over the Barrel' feeling

      I could only recommend the item because without it you have to scrap and replace the whole wind instrument head or whole instrument, even more expensive! i.e. "Hobson's Choice". How do you rate value? Should the item be expensive because it cost a lot to make or is it expensive because of perceived need. Well we know which is the case with this service kit. This Raymarine service kit quality is questionable for the environment in which it recommended for use i.e. on the head of a yacht mast. The service kit consists mainly of a couple of bits of moulded plastic and screws to replace a couple of bits of original moulded plastic which have degraded and warped (probably UV degradation). Unfortunately the new bits will also degrade in the same way within a few years. At least for sale on ...
