Review of my new (used) InFocus LP70+

InFocus LP70+ has been a workhorse for me for many years. I bought this replacement because cold weather and moisture fried my old one. I certainly learned a lesson on that one. i.e. never leave electronic equipment in the trunk of your car. This unit is small, portable and projects a bright image on our Rotary Club screen. In fact, I bought another used unit as backup for this one. Hope I never have to use it.

  • Outstanding product -

We purchased a used model from a most excellent seller on eBay who very accurately discribed the unit as only having 286 hours on it. I think the besides overall quality, the status of the bulb is the most important thing ti consider when buying one of this. Often time the bulb can be as expensive as a unit itself. The menu system on this model is easy to use and easy to verify the bulb usage and system info. The unit is very small and with and length smaller then my iPad. Fits in a bag perfect and easy to transport. I have only tested watching some YouTube videos on iPad with a VGA /HDMI adapter but am most impressed with the image quality. I purchased it for simple power point presentations but could easily enjoy watching a movie on it which will make back yard BBQ night more fun. I ...

  • DO NOT OVERPAY; BUY THIS PRODUCT. You will NOT be disappointed.

Bought this little beauty slightly used off eBay and really had no true expectations on performance other than 'I hope it's better than the one my buddy borrows from work'. Purchased this solely for movies in the backyard and it's a stunner...perfect picture, nice color and contrast; the only negative is the input connections are a bit dated, but with some research online, I found what I needed. I've used this 3 times so far and it has wowed every time. The first time, we even had people out walking the neighborhood peek down our driveway to see what was going on! Tonight (or tomorrow) we're watching the Lorax, and I'm sure, like the 3 times before, this baby will shine (pun intended). I'm projecting onto a 9 foot diagonal 16:9 aspect screen and am only disappointed that I didn't go ...

  • Overall perfect handy projector, can fully recommend it

Overall perfect handy projector, can fully recommend it. Nice picture quality and resolution, perfect for mobile and private usage. The only downside is the confined space design, this hardly allows any DIY repairs. Device is getting quite hot, so you need to let it cool down a while before you pack it. Had one before and failed to replace a defective fan, so now I have a spare bulb .

  • Great little projector

This projector was my second choice, as my first got taken at the last minute. We bought this to project song lyrics onto a screen at youth camp so the kids don't have to have their heads burried in the song book. After struggling to get it hooked up properly, it worked great. The height mechanism is a little on the flimsy side, but it does it's job. The keystone setting is a little difficult to get just right, but it just takes a little time. Overall, this was a very good purchase for the money and it will get plenty of use at camp and at church as well as at home to show pictures of my newest grandson.
