An Olympus 35mm SLR Film Camera Body comes standard with a power-winder, filters, and cable releases. The Olympus OM-2n camera was the successor to the OM-1 and can work in fully manual mode and aperture priority modes. The film-speed dial on this Olympus camera acts as an exposure dial, which is unusual for a film camera of this age. The viewfinder on the Olympus 35mm SLR Film Camera Body is large, bright, and offers a split-prism that assists in focusing manually. The Olympus camera will measure light from a pattern off the shutter curtain, or the film, for longer exposures. The camera is known for its ability to accurately meter light and can do exposures up to two minutes. Two LR44 batteries are required in order to operate the Olympus 35mm SLR Film Camera Body without jamming the shutter. Unlike most SLRs, which are heavy in weight, the Olympus OM-2n camera feels like a manageable large compact when held in the hands or around the neck.
