    Good product... But not a perfect fit

    I like the extra power... Didn't notice any sound difference (For 2007 tacoma 4x4 4.0 engine) Only bad thing is the bolt holes at the bottom of the filter housing need to be maybe 1/2" towards the the driver's side of the car. As it currently fits, the rubber piece between the housing and the fender is slightly too short, and the intake tube is slightly too long... moving the the holes would make it perfect. Also, there are some youtube videos which say you should cut the intake tube for the Tacoma. DON'T! The plastic engine cover hole over the tube will not fit of you do. If you get the lean error code, it just means you pushed the intake tube in too far, and are blocking the sensor... Pull out back out.

    Expensive but works as intended.

    If you live in California and need a legal CAI then this seems to be the way to go. K&N makes a setup but isn’t truly a cold air intake since it pulls partially from the engine compartment. But for the price I think everything but the MAF sensor should have been included with this TRD unit. The existing bushings and “feet” for the box itself is reused from the original air box. And if your truck has high miles on it like mine then the bushings are most likely cracked and deteriorated. For the price new bushings and feet should be included.

    Nothing Like Genuine

    This kit was very simple to install and has great quality parts in it, nothing cheap feeling or brittle. Took maybe fifteen minutes to install. The only issue is you must check the parts inventory in the instructions. The kit was missing the throttle body coupler and it took two additional weeks for me to get the right part sent to me. All in all it’s a good buy just a bit of hassle If something isn’t right in the kit so be prepared and have patience.

    Factory upgrade

    Fitted to an Australian Hilux with little effort. Noticeable torque gain from 1700ish- 2500rpm. Not a cheap upgrade but makes the car feel strong all the time at low rpm.
