Here in Florida it gets really hot and have almost burnt my hand holding hood open and getting that stupid rod in the catch. This is much better. A little difficult to install (watch YouTube) and be careful not to drop the little pin you need to remove and reinstall to put ball joint together. I did and it was really hard to find especially on blacktop since it’s black and so small.

It's apparent that the seller had no intention of accepting a return!
