Better if layered with other perfumes, smells like violet candy.
The first smell straight out of the bottle is very alcoholic and almost smells like licorice, however upon letting the fumes evaporate and letting the perfume warm up/dry down on my skin it starts to smell exactly like c.howards old-fashion mints & gum, *not* a freshly picked violet as I hoped, the only way I can make it smell fresh as opposed to candy-like is when I mix it with another fruity/floral perfume - then it smells very realistic; it's an excellent team player, but a disappointing solo act.
