    Excellent value for money film

I bought a couple of rolls of this on the basis that it was cheap film to test two cameras. I wasn't expecting much from budget film but I was pleasantly surprised by the results. It's not a contrasty film by any means but I rather like the tones, especially in the mid range. I'm guessing that a yellow filter, or even orange, would bump up the contrast if that's what you want. Unlike HP5 it doesn't object to being processed in Rodinal. Suffice to say I'm impressed enough to try some more.

  • Cheap and cheap and cheerful

This is a reasonable film at price that is a pleasant surprise now that film is getting outrageously expensive and acarce in the UK Post brexit. There is nothing like a good old fashioned shoot with the basics leaving the digital nikon at home and taking the nikon F3 instead. The film is more than adequate and cheap enough to experiment with, like developing it with coffee or push processing it. A good quality no thrills film that gives consistent reliable results
