About this product

Product Information

The first annual Erik Bruhn Prize for ballet dancing was named after the legendary Danish dancer-choreographer. This video captures the very first competition, in 1988, which was hosted by Canadian ballerina Karen Kain and choreographer Glen Tetley. Watch with baited breath as a couple from each of the four companies -- American Ballet Theatre, The Royal Ballet, The Royal Danish Ballet, and The National Ballet of Canada -- dance it out for the top prize. An special appearance from legendary ballerina Natala Makarova is also included.
