    I received an LG branded burner. Not the Samsung which I was hoping to try.

    This was an LG burner not a Samsung. The drive was in good shape and works fine so it's not a tragedy to get a different brand. I did want to try the Samsung though.

    Within a week started opening and closing repeatedly on occasion, after a month completely died. Won't buy another. Should have known too good to be true!
