    Great buy for what I needed

    I was having problems with trying to find out how to do certain things on my family tree 12. Since you can no longer ask Ancestry I started looking around to see if there was a book out there that would help me and there was and I bought it. It has been so helpful with helping me do what I wanted and needed to do.

    2012 is eight years behind a 2020 in content.

    it's a pretty good instruction book for being eight (8) years old. A lot is left out from the 2020 edition, but unfortunately you don't have any of those.

    Recommended hard copy for Family Tree Maker software.

    If you plan to research your family tree using Family Tree Maker, and you are tired of stopping your work to go to the inline tutorial that came with the software, then get this book. It allows you to look things up while you work. It doesn't get any better than this.

    Great Guide to Using Family Tree Maker 2012

    Great resource. Family Tree Maker can be very confusing and I was floundering. The screens are so complicated. This guide gives understandable instructions to add information to my family tree. You can find what you need through the Table of Contents or the Index, both very detailed.
