A practical 'how to' guide that gives the facts
As an public relations industry professional, I am happy to independently recommend this book. I used to teach PR to small businesses so cast a critical eye over the book contents, yet I was very surprised at how factual and supportive this book is. It would provide confidence to anyone interested in learning how to write their own press releases for successful publication in their media. The foundational information and technique taught in this book can be applied across many markets too, such as Australia, Europe or North America. I have worked in these markets and therefore I feel qualified to make that statement. There are a lot of books out there, but I would back this one wholeheartedly for its straightforward approach, fundamental writing instruction and wholesome honesty to how ... I am a small business owner and I know there are many people, like me, who want their press releases to be published. I also want to know how to keep my customer’s interest when they read my business blog or an article I have written for a business magazine. Anyone who writes as part of their business or hobby has read that you should write short sentences and paragraphs and not use verbose words but instead practise tight writing. What is tight writing? The 10-Paragragh Press Release at last answers this question for me as well giving me an easy to read book that is full of tips that I can implement immediately. Precise guidelines to follow such as: 10 paragraphs in 300 words and no more than 25-30 words in a sentence. The book includes memorable tips, tables setting out news values ... I am a small business owner and I know there are many people, like me, who want their press releases to be published. I also want to know how to keep my customer’s interest when they read my business blog or an article I have written for a business magazine. Anyone who writes as part of their business or hobby has read that you should write short sentences and paragraphs and not use verbose words but instead practise tight writing. What is tight writing?
