good machine for beginners
I agree with the previous reviewer that this sewing machine is great for beginners and was inexpensive. I also chose it because its compact size fit great in my limited sewing area, and I did not want to spend a lot of money on a new bigger machine, just to try my hand at a hobby I might not like. This machine works best with woven fabrics. Also the thickness of the fabric has a lot to do with getting good tension; the thicker medium, and heavy weight woven fabrics worked best for me (ex fleece, denim, wool, prequilted fabrics, etc.). If lightweight woven fabrics are sewn I suppose (from watching those TV sewing shows, like “Sewing with Nancy”) that there is a way to make the fabric thicker at the seams, if needed. Dressmaker sewing machine
I purchased this because I have the same model sewing machine, but was missing the pedal piece. This package had it, but also contained lots of miscellaneous pieces as well. After plugging it in, it did work well. Thank you! God bless.

Inexpensive sewing machine, but it doesn`t sew right
I needed a small, simple and inexpensive machine that could run off battery power, or regular house current for costume repairs. It should have been perfect for the job but there are problems with it. The light is plenty bright when the machine is turned on but not sewing. When you start to sew it dims, making poor visibillity. I`ve had it for over 5 weeks and still haven`t gotten it to sew right yet. The upper thread tension was not correct when I got it, and I can`t get it adjusted properly. why I like the sewing machine
This sewing machine is great for beginners and was inexpensive. I chose this because it had been at least 15 years since I last used a sewing machine and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on one that I may not have figured out how to use. It's small and lightweight so you can use it just about anywhere. It's easy to thread and comes with a bunch of colored threads which is a nice bonus. It has every thing you need to get started!!!This sewing machine is great for beginners and was inexpensive. I chose this because it had been at least 15 years since I last used a sewing machine and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on one that I may not have figured out how to use. It's small and lightweight so you can use it just about anywhere. It's easy to thread and comes with a bunch of colored threads which is a nice bonus. It has every thing you need to get started!!!

Great product for the money and its size
This is my second one my first one was refurbished and it had the wrong shuttle/bobbin installed as a replacement. I bought it again because I was able to make several things with the first one even with that flaw. I figured with a brand new one I would have no trouble. I like the product the size is perfect for my space it allows me to be creative without having to hand stitch.
