It smells more like lemon than Lavender to me, and as it’s a cologne you have to spray fairly heavily to smell anything. I don’t mind the smell, but I really wanted a recognisable Lavender aroma so for me at least this is not optimal. However it does smell clean and fresh and the bottle is very nice. It arrived quickly and was well packaged.

Really disappointed with this purchase. This is a very weak fragrance and does not last any length of time. I’ve had the original 4711 many times over the years and was always pleased with it but sad to say that this is not a patch on the original. It’s like a watered down scent. It gives me no pleasure in sending this negative review but I felt that I had to be honest and fair. Regards, Mrs S Steele.
