great product .. runs SUPER quiet.. Purchased 2 (one for Freshwater Crocodile Tank and One for a Freshwater Turtle Tank) the only teeny tiny gripe is the ceramic filter media doesnt quite cover the entire bottom of the basket when its in the sock ... other than that .. cleaning is super easy .. super easy to install

Cannot understand why this has such a reputation. Fittings stiff and cheap looking. Just hoses into tank, only a matter of time before suction caps let go. Louder than a cheap Aqua One Ocellaris 3000UVC, cannot compare to Eheim 2180 on any level, Fluval do not come close to Eheim. Consider Fluval overrated and overpriced. Astounding lack of biological media, does a good job of mechanical filtration so OK if you have other filters with good biological media on same tank.Cannot understand why this has such a reputation.
