Soldier of Fortune II migrates from the PC to the Xbox in this port from developer Gratuitous Games. The Xbox version retains all nine missions found in the PC original, taking players from the streets of Prague to missions in Switzerland, New York, Kamchatka, Columbia, and Hong Kong. Players once again assume the role of John Mullins, member of an anti-terrorist organization called The Shop, as he infiltrates various locales for hostage rescues, gathering intelligence, or taking out terrorists using a combination of stealth and weapons skill. Fifteen armaments range from knives and sniper rifles to M60s and grenade launchers.<br><br>A key component of the PC original was its multiplayer support, which has been translated to the Xbox version via the Xbox Live broadband network. Featured multiplayer modes include deathmatch, team deathmatch, elimination, and infiltration. Elimination is played with two teams positioned on opposite sides of the selected map. The goal is to eliminate all members of a rival team before they do the same to the player's team. Infiltration also involves two teams, one red and one blue, with the blue team trying to steal a briefcase and return it to a helicopter ready for takeoff. The red team's goal is to guard the briefcase and attack those who manage to capture it.

The seller listed as a "brand new" game, but the game arrived is not sealed and only has a dirty sealing sticker, which is definitely not brand new. If I want a used one, I'll just go to local owners to find a much cheaper one. Not much to complain about the shipping though. Not the fastest, but still OK. I didn't bother ask the seller and started the return process, so I'll leave the "Seller Communication" a five star.

A big let down.
The pc version of this game had an absolutely great online experience, then there is the xbox version. The guys over at Activision that converted the RavenSoft PC version did a well, horrible job. The game lacked graphic power and did very little to take advantage of the xbox's power. Older and not as well put together pc's run the older pc version better then the xbox. There was little to no detail to the graphics and not much enjoyment to the online feature, which was it's biggest selling point. The xbox version added a few more maps to the game then the xbox version but nothing substantial. There was large confusion when first playing the game online with the microphone as well. When trying to talk to you team mates you had to push buttons to talk to your entire team taking away the ... Also if you are just talking to another player standing next to you, you can be heard by the enemy in the area, which is very cool from a real life standpoint, but very confusing when you aren't in the conversation. You have no idea if it's your teammates or the other team. I just can't get over how poorly the conversion of this game was done. It seemed like they put thier rookie team on the conversion and gave them no supervision or direction. Just poor.

Awesome violence
I'm surprised it got bad reviews! I'm a critical adult gamer and I thought that once you get past the first couple of levels the game was great. Lots of weapons & if you use cheats you can cary all of them. Great detail, you can use a shotgun to blow a chunk of someones leg off while they hop around on the other. One of my favorite shooters!!!!!!!!!
