A HDMI cable was faulty. I had to use 2 cables per monitor; laptop didnt have 2 HDMI ports so I had to buy an adaptor (not splitter), a HDMI cable, & a USB-A hub to get it working on my personal Acer laptop. It just worked one monitor on my Lenovo work laptop. The extender is great quality- be mindful, once it's on, don't fiddle with the size adjustment because it doesn't latch onto the laptop with surety- the little legs on the bottom are thin & short. Use the stability leg; it's heavy.
