    This tool was able to do what no other tools were able to. I used this on a Smart Fortwo which has a bracket in the way and prevents wedge tools from working. For this application, I did have to add some shims to be able to open the strut far enough, but it was not difficult. I'd recommend adding an extra .25" to the max opening and it would be perfect.
