Sturdy and gets the job done
What can you say about a box? Okay, so it's ported, it's sturdy and it should take some knock around abuse with it being HEAVILY coated with truck bed liner on all the outside surfaces. Mine arrived without the bed liner fully cured which it did in a few days out in the open air. There isn't any provision for protecting the bass driver when you mount it, so you'll want to get some kind of metal grill bars or something like that to protect the speaker. If you want to tune it slightly differently, you'll have to experiment with stuffing it with Acoustistuff and/or stuffing the port to avoid it having resonance at certain frequencies. Doubtful you'll need to if it's an auto application and you have it in your trunk. Pick your bass driver wisely because the heft of this box will make you want ... What can you say about a box? Fits the Skar IX-8
My Skar IX-8 fit perfectly inside. I'm able to make one amazing bluetooth speaker using this box, a cheap Chinese amp boards, a couple DC buck/boost converters and some ingenuity. Everyone is so impressed.:) With 1.4 cu.ft. of space, it's a bit more than my sub even needs, so I'm able to stuff other electronics and a PSU inside, and it still slams super hard. I wish it didn't have the logo (I am mounting rubber feet over the logo so it'll sit face-down.) I'll be building plenty of clones to sell all my friends and fellow festival wooks.My Skar IX-8 fit perfectly inside. It’s a universal box
That being said it works but has some flaws the cut out hole is too big my sub fits but the screws are right at the edge the tuning seems kinda of high had to modify the port a lil
