    I bought this book because it said it was new. It was supposed to be a birthday gift m. The front Har a stain on it which is tacky now for me to give as a gift. I was disappointed since it said new. That was the only reason I ordered it. I would not give a book with a stain right on the front cover.

    Blueberries for Sal

    I am very happy with it. I searched for good books for my grandchildren and found the Thomas B. Fordham Institute for Advancing Educational Excellence. They have a list of the 100 best books for children to experience prior to entering kindergarten. This book was one of them. Make Way for Ducklings is another from the same author. Read, read, read to your grandchildren - even over Skype!!!

    Blueberries for Sal

    The book is a children's classic. I bought this for my granddaughter after hearing about it from a librarian. The story line contains an old fashioned tale of a mother and daughter picking blueberries on the mountain, and the alternate story of a mother bear and her daughter picking blueberries on the same mountain, and their chance encounter together. My granddaughter will LOVE it because she and her family go blue berry picking, and they see bears. Can't wait to gift this book. Older illustrations, timeless little adventure!

    A Childhood Favorite

    A delightful little tale about a mother and little daughter going to pick blueberries on one side of a ginormous hill called Blueberry Hill so the mother can can blueberries for the winter. On the other side of the huge hill is a mother bear and her cub trying to fatten up before winter.

    Great kid’s book

    Great book for the little ones! Wife read it to our daughter and wife’s mom read it to her when she was little! Been around since 1948 and kids seem to love the plot!!!
