His story is eminently fair, and describes only facts concerning the Ku Klux Klan, past and present.The old Ku Klux Klan after the Civil War played a prominent part in Reconstruction days, one of the most important periods in the history of the United States. These times are described from an historical standpoint, and make an interesting story of the efforts made in the South to recover political liberties that had been lost by the collapse of the Confederacy.
