The Blues revisited by appreciative artists
First off, not everyone appreciates the blues, and it was never intended to be mainstream by those who are blues artists. That said, the blues are an integral part of the foundation of much of our modern rock n roll. Many of the most successful rock tunes ever, owe more than just a bit to some of the blues greatest artists. Weather it is melody or lyrics, it is there. The Rolling Stones have always acknowledged that the blues have played a big part in their music, giving homage to the greats that penned and performed music that came from the soul. This album " Blue and Lonesome" is a tribute to some of the past greats that were blues musicians from the 20's through the 60's. The boys do a great job on this album and one gets the feeling that they had a good time putting it together. Most ... The Greatest Blues Band in the World Ever!!
Not only are The Rolling Stone the greatest Rock and Roll band ever, they are also the Greatest Blues band ever, need I say more :). Great album which was put together over just a couple of days. Keep the great work coming boys, looking forward to the next tour and the next Blues album :).
