    Great historical drama

    The revolution in England led by Cromwell is well told in this epic drama. I don't buy movies I haven't already viewed and enjoyed on TV or in the theater. My expectations were met.

    Cromwell is Historic!

    Cromwell is one of those relatively unknown big budget costume dramas of the late 60's and 70's that executes itself very well. All the actors are pro's and the sets are lavish. Not a musical like Dr. Zhivago, but more like Lawrence of Arabia... If you enjoy this kind of film, then check this out! I ran into it accidentally, and wanted to see the whole thing as a result. Look it up on IMDB and see what they think.

    Great historical drama that has aged well

    This was one of my favorite movies when I was a senior in high school. I saw it at least five times in the movies theater. Therefore, I was greatly pleased to find it on DVD! The production is great. Alec Guiness is fantastic in his portrayal of King Charles I.

    I really enjoyed Richard Harris’s portrayal of Oliver Cromwell! He was a man of the people! He fought for truth and justice! He made a difference for England! I recommend this movie for those who like to learn about history!!
