This is a good book for beginning reloaders because it has a strong safety "slant" to it. The only complaints that I have are due to the fact that some of the info is pretty dated, ie: a lot of mention is made of mercuric contamination causing weakened brass. Anyone who reloads today knows that this is extremely rare, so it doesn't need more than a passing mention. This is a pretty minor annoyance, but I'd rather see more info on accuracy tips or so-called "tricks-of-the-trade", like being able to use orange Kool-Aid to clean brass, or using Cream-Of-Wheat as a filler when using low-volume powders. Anyone interested in learning reloading will be well-served by this book, but keep in mind that it contains info on reloading only, NOT actual loading data. This is a great piece to keep on your reloading bench for reference until you're comfortable with the reloading process and has pretty decent pics. and illustrations.Read full review
I bought this copy to put away to someday replace my original worn out 6th edition of this great manual. Complete with the basics and advanced topics; easy step by step reloading instructions for rifle, handgun and shotshell ammunition. Wonderful for beginners, and essential to remind the old timers when they forget! Unlike other so called reloading manuals, this one is not filled with pages of data for every imaginable caliber (data manuals and internet sources are very abundant) This book emphasizes the technique as well as chapters that are special interest topics. I don't know about the other editions of the ABC's of Reloading but the 6th edition will always be on my reloading shelves.

Book is very detailed and written in a way that it is easy to understand. This book goes through each step of the reloading process and describes each component of the load very well.
