    Cheap and useful

    Needed the helping hands but didn't want to spend a lot of money. Bought these and, while not very good quality, they aren't too bad. Hold my components and work as intended. Pros: Cheap Holds components well Cons: Screws on the arms can be difficult to tighten Base, on mine, wasn't very level; making it a little rocky Magnifying glass not the best quality Despite the quality, these helping hands are good value. They work. They help get the job done. Would recommend if you aren't wanting to spend a great deal of money.

    Not great quality

    The main arm assembly tends to 'flop' on the lower ball joint due to the weight of it. Its not possible to tighten this ball joint due to the small size of the wing nut, the cheap construction of which (bent steel plate) hurts your fingers if you try to exert any significant pressure. The whole assembly easily comes out of the base too. Not easy to use and not well made

    Good for the price

    Would only be using this once or twice so high quality not essential. However for the price the quality is not bad. Bit rough around the edges but does everything expected of it.

    Helping Hands

    I bought this for help with soldering and its been great so far. The magnifier has helped too as my eyes arn't what they used to be. All in all a fantastic little product. 5 stars from me.

    A Helping Hand indeed!

    With a suitably heavy base and two reasonably grippy alligator/crocodile clips this is just what you need. The magnifier more than doubles the size of everything. A very useful addition to any workplace or hobby.
