    Just what I needed!

    I needed a compact player for my CD’s and DVD’s, and this does the job. It makes DVD’s look great thanks to upconversion. I’m not into Blu-Ray and I use a Fire Stick for streaming, so I can’t comment on those features. I would imagine it plays blu-rays perfectly fine and has a really clunky streaming experience. The controls on the unit itself, combined with the digital audio output into my external DAC, make it easy to use it as a CD player without having to turn on the TV. That was what I needed, so I’m happy.

    No wi-fi

    Dvd and Blu-ray work great but have not been able to connect it to my Wi-Fi . I have this same player that I brought some time ago and I love it, This unit finds the network but it always says I have entered the wrong password. I even switched to another modem and it still did the same thing.

    Samsung BD-HM57C

    What I like most about this player, is it's got a REALLY small footprint; its a small unit that takes up next to zero room on a shelf or wherever you mount it. When you find one that hasn't been beat up, the blue tooth and other installed features work flawlessly and the response is very quick upon selection. Be warned though, there are at least two other Samsung units out there, that share VERY similar model numbers, and I purchased one, that the seller had mislabeled and used wrong photos, and turned out to actually be an BD-HM57E. Physically, a far wider footprint than the 57C's and not near as responsive. For the price, in my book, these BD-HM57C's are the best - I've got two.

    Smaller in size than my old one, yet affords very similar features. I like the light that goes on when activated.

    Excellent reproduction, small price. However. the "on top" controls are touchy.

    Broken door

    You could help. Michend you dropped it on the corner at loading door, has to be helped to open till i fix it with my old one
