The barber shop shave soap smell is decent, but the pine smell, which is actually the vetiver, is not good and too noticeable, You probably won't get compliments for smelling like soap and pine. I believe it is a quality product and made very well. If you don't have any interaction with females, this cologne is safe then, or if you work outdoors as a landscaper, or horticulturist I believe it will compliment your profession, as Vetiver is a green grass that is native to the country of India, in case you didn't know. In closing, don't blind buy this. If you smell it first and like it, than by all means, buy away......... Guerlain Vetiver is one of my favorite classic gentleman's fragrances. This 2013 edition is a little deeper, spicier, and longer-lasting than the most recent one, which is also very enjoyable but has gotten a little bit weaker due to a reformulation which probably happened in 2014.

Blind buy, mistake. Fragrance is dated. Smells of barbershops of the 80s. On a positive note, if you’re an older gentleman, this may work for you, and it’s really affordable, and the bottle is very nice. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great fragrance for the right man, and situation. Just not my cup of tea.

Well, if you like a masculine mild fragrance that last, then buy this class cologne. From the first day I used it in a friend's, it's been my top spray fragrance. It last quite a bit and it's fresh classy essence. I also use several like Tomy, Curve yes the original is great, and Hilfinger a little stronger than Tomy. Vetiver was missing on my dresser. I really like it but look out for copy cats, I got stuck once and gave it to goodwill. This vetiver is a great smelling colologne and be sure is not the fake one, huge difference. Waiting to get it. The best priced genuine Vetiver. We'll see in a couple days. Great priced cologne & addictive cologne.
