    Very good replacement for a worn troublesome engine

    The engine came clean and clearly low miles. Seller called and gave me a couple hints for a successful install I had not thought of. Engine came complete with intake, exhaust and oil pan that needed to be changed over from engine being replaced. The timing sprockets with crank and cam timing rings needed to be changed as they are different and would not provide ignition. Adjusted valves just because. Been running flawlessly for four months now.

    Worked perfectly!

    Although I had to swap over a lot of parts from the old engine. It was to be expected. The block and heads were an exact fit. Got put back together. It started right up. It ran perfect!

    Good clean engine

    I got what I hoped for: a nice clean engine that slides right in and runs good from the first turn of the key. My only beef is some careless work by the scrappers pulling it: they damaged the engine harness in a couple places I had to fix. I was also bummed the power steering pump was not compatible without buying a new pressure hose and suction fitting. But the rest of it was plug-and-play and now my car is running better than when I first bought it. I'm glad I went for this engine instead of trying to fix that worn out junk that I had before.

    Runs perfect

    Engine rans absolutely perfect and sounds extremely strong! Replaced the valve covers and the internals were so clean you could eat off them! I used this EJ253 to replace my EJ252, meaning I had to swap intake manifolds and the passenger side cam gear, and some sensors since the Japanese sensors may not work with the US spec engines.

    JDM EZ30 Engine

    This engine has been running excellent, since it was installed. No noises, good oil pressure, and no overheating. I pulled the spark plugs, all were clean burning, without abnormal deposits. It gave my car a new life!
