A definite tool to have (Hornady Bullet puller is necessary) for pulling 9mm and other bullets too.
Not only is this a very good tool for the Hornady Bullet Puller with the 338/358 (9 mm), it works great to pull semiwadcutter (SWC) 45acp bullets. Unfortunately I made a low powder load (mistake) with some 10 SWC 45acp and I could not get the bullet out with the "hammer like" pullet puller tool (if you reload you know about that tool). I didn't want to lose these so I carefully thought about trying the 9mm collet. It worked beautifully! Yes, one has to change the shell holder (need #2 verses #19). This tool has helped me recover primers and bullets from duds too. A definite plus to have if one reloads. Obviously the other collets I have all work great too. Best bullet puller on the market.
Best bullet pulling option there is. Sure Hornady wants you to join the collet of the month club but it makes your screw ups much easier to deal with than the hammer.

Easy does it
Should you ever need to pull some bullets for whatever the reason, you won't find an easier way. Partially pull to the seat length if to short, then, crimp without going through the whole loading process.
