    Brilliant!

    Thanks so much. Really quick delivery and genuine part (for any concerned it may not be). Sold by a genuine Land Rover dealer. I’m ordering another for my spare key!! New vs old below (see photos). Brand new key. Easy to fit (in fact, I’ve had gloves that fit less perfectly!). The only fiddly bit is removing the circuit board from the old key case/shell. You have to gently remove the melted plastic pin tops that hold the board in situ. I carefully used a small but sharp kitchen knife. Oh, and I removed the battery just in case I shorted the board with the knife. Refitted in about 5 minutes. You need to retain the Range Rover slider and emergency key to fit to the new case/shell.

    I bought another key case from the buyer...

    I bought another key case from the buyer a couple of years ago and have now replaced the spare key case, which had the rubber case peeling away. These are excellent, swapping the circuit board over and fitting the blade key and reinstalling the ‘Range Rover’ metal side trim is easy. They now look like new keys. Thanks

    Changing the Fob case

    My case had come away from the housing so I wanted a new remote, the cost of this and a short DIY job to change it over was worth the huge saving. I wish there was a video on this model, I found other earlier models but they all differ and there was no definitive way. If someone did do one and posted it on You Tube it would have been a great help. Managed it, but was sweating in case I damaged the circuit board..
