The book is in "reasonable" condition! not vg condition as described- front cover permanent fold over on arrival, packed this way ? pages are yellowing. Seller may be best to place a description "proper" of actual book being sold on the listing with photos so buyers know what they are receiving for the price paid.

  • A beautiful volume on the bizarre and the mysterious.

This is a lavishly illustrated book chock full of the earth's natural mysteries, and the great thing about it is that it delves into lesser known cases, making interesting reading and opening the reader up to a host of mysteries he or she would likely never hear or read about anywhere else. The chapter dealing with cryptozoology (the search for unknown animals) is particularly interesting, and we are introduced to a possible surviving giant pangolin in Indonesia, blue tigers and lake monsters that are overshadowed by the notorious Loch Ness monster. Karl Shuker is widely recognised as an authority on mysterious phenomena, and this book does not disappoint.
