About this product

Product Information

From the moment in 1918 when Corporal Lee Duncan discovers Rin Tin Tin on a World War I battlefield, he recognizes something in the pup that he needs to share with the world. Rin Tin Tin's improbable introduction to Hollywood leads to the dog's first blockbuster film and over time, the many radio programs, movies, and television shows that follow. The canine hero's legacy is cemented by Duncan and a small group of others who devote their lives to keeping him and his descendants alive. At its heart, Rin Tin Tin is a poignant exploration of the enduring bond between humans and animals. But it is also a richly textured history of twentieth-century entertainment and entrepreneurship and the changing role of dogs in the American family and society. Almost ten years in the making, Susan Orlean's first original book since The Orchid Thief is a tour de force of history, human interest, and masterful storytelling - the ultimate must-read for anyone who loves great dogs or great yarns.

Excellent quality merchandise; extensive product range; easy-to-use Web site; competitive pricing; efficient order processing; only negative, CD arrived slightly damaged, with crack in top right hand corner of the cd case ; (could have been packed a bit more securely with cardboard ) identical to advertised image; & excellent seller communication. A pleasure to deal with; totally professional from start to finish

While the movie took sometime to arrive it did arrive safely and for free postage from overseas. The dvd was well packaged and in very good condition just as described by the sender. Communication with the seller was excellent and response to a recent communication over this items non arrival was very fast (note the movie arrived the next day). I would have no hesitation in using this seller again.

Items delivered as described in second hand/used condition. Good seller communication. The outer shipping packaging was very thin plastic with no additional protective packaging. The DVD discs were also not well secured in their cases & some of the DVD discs had therefore predictably come loose inside their DVD cases in postal transit. It was very fortunate that the loose DVD discs were not scuffed or scratched inside their plastic cases in postal transit. Please note this matter in future.
