Protects and makes life a lot easier for your saw
I purchased this product based on the dimensions only and as it turned out it fits my husqvarna 345 saw perfectly with room for a qt of bar oil, grease gun, saw wrench, rags and gloves with room to spare. Very well made, easy to handle and keeps saw dry if left outside for weekend outings at cabin. I highly recommend this product!

Disappointed but I kept it.
Since it said small-medium I figured it would fit my Kobalt 80Volt Chainsaw. Well yes and no. When I tried putting on the orange chain guard that was part of the case and sliding it in the groves into the case the chainsaw body was to long for the case. So I put on the Kobalt 80 chain guard back on and then it fit into the case. Disappointed that it did not work the way it was designed. The case needed to be a few inchs longer to work the way it was designed. I consider the Kobalt 80 as a small Chainsaw.Since it said small-medium I figured it would fit my Kobalt 80Volt Chainsaw. The Title of the Item is probably more accurate as 16 inch bar chain saw case. As you can see from the photos, the powerhead BARELY fits with no room for extra oil, sharpening kit, or tools. Nevertheless it does fit, and that's the main thing. So I gave it 5 stars. It is constructed similar to the Stihl Outdoorsman chain saw case and will catch any oil or gas which leaks out of the saw during storage. So you won't mess up your garage floor or shelving if you store your saw in this case. There are two plastic clasps which hold the top, and the hinges have a plastic rod through which they are connected. If you don't abuse the case, you should be satisfied with it for many years. Very nice case.
This case was exactly what I wanted. The case fits the saw and has enough extra room for a bottle of bar oil, grease, wrenches, ear protection, and safety glasses. I was even able to squeeze my safety chaps in there, but it’s tight. The only complaint is that I had to remove the Echo tip guard as the scabbard wasn’t wide enough to accommodate the factory provided bolt/nut, so I have to remove it and reattach every time I use the saw if I want to enjoy that safety feature unless I can find a shorter bolt/skinnier nut combo. This case was exactly what I wanted. The case fits the saw and has enough extra room for a bottle of bar oil, grease, wrenches, ear protection, and safety glasses. I was even able to squeeze my safety chaps in there, but it’s tight.
