Best-kept secret in the business.
This is a light-duty mike, not terribly durable. You'll need to tighten the cord-clamp screws on the mike plug to keep the cord from sliding out. This will damage the plug's solder connections pronto when it happens. But it's still a steal. The tone quality is excellent for AM, and sounds fine on SSB as well. So long as you don't eat the thing, it won't get "boomy" and cause problems in a radio with the AM modulation limiter disabled. Has decent high-frequency (4 to 5 kHz) response and won't have that "socks in the mouth" sound you get from a lot of stock mikes. The cartridge inside is probably worth more than the mike. It has served to repair a lot of more-expensive hand mikes, and sounds good.This is a light-duty mike, not terribly durable. ICOM IC-211 replacement mic.
Using a cobra to ICOM 4pin adapter this microphone performed very well with good reports on my IC-211 2 meter rig. At some point I plan to rewire the 4 wire connection to eliminate the adapter since it's working well.
