Used on an early 80's Wheel Horse tractor with a Kohler K301. It cleared the hood perfectly, no adapter fittings needed for this particular application. Has a really nice tone at low idle. A little louder than I would like at full throttle, but that may just be a "tone" thing and not a decibel thing. Either way I would gladly buy again if needed for any of my other tractors, and, highly recommend others to consider one of these for their project
