Solar Eclipse Observing Guide
I think this book has an error in it on the table of partial eclipse times page 33. The eclipse times for St. Paul MN are an hour before the times for Minneapolis MN. I was expecting the times to be only a second or so apart (if anything) and that Minneapolis residents would see the eclipse first, but by just a little bit. I sent an email to "Mr. Eclipse" to tell him this but I got no reply. So I don't recommend that table in the book.I think this book has an error in it on the table of partial eclipse times page 33. Ready for the eclipse
The Celestron EclipSMART Solar Shades Sun and Eclipse Observing Kit is just what we needed for the eclipse. The glasses are sturdy and safe. The book that comes with the kit does a great job of explaining eclipses and giving details about the 2017 eclipse. It provides a lot of useful information and will make a nice keepsake.

I did not receive this product
I ordered these glasses. The provider stated he was out of the 4 packs and offered me 2 2 packs. What we received was 2 2 packs of crappy binoculars. The pair I tested prior to the eclipse fell apart after brief use. The provider lied. He reposted the glasses at $100 per pack more than I had paid.

It' cardboard, for Pete's sake!
The USPS misplaced them for 10 days and today was overcast, so I haven't had a chance to try them. Not sure if I will like the yellow sun compared to white sun through Baader film.
