    Needed textbook, but one of the easiest to read

    I've been studying theology for a few years now and nearly every textbook has been draining to read. THIS IS NOT THAT BOOK. There's NO complex terms, and if a term comes, it is quickly defined. No excessively flowerly language. I feel like I actually understand it.

    The Who, When, What, Where, and Why in Christian Theology

    The Story of Christian Theology is just that, it's how theology developed from the late first century until today. The book is well written and a pleasure to read. The details are fantastic, you feel like you get to know some of the saints and sinners and what they believed. Not only does the book tell us what the doctrines are but why they came about, when, and who was involved. If you like theology and history, this is a wonderful addition to your collection or a good starter book. True, it's a little pricey usually, but well worth it and over 600 pages.

    Clear and Concise

    I bought this for a church history class. I found it to be very informative without being overly technical. But, of course when discussing the history of the church, you will discuss the history of the theology that developed with the church. So when it must discuss technical theological words, it explains the meaning instead of expect you to know it.
