Additional information
Recording information: The House of Menche, Portland, OR (2010-2011). Photographer: Daniel Menche. Sound artist Daniel Menche is labeled a noise musician, but there's a lot more subtlety to his work than that of, say, Masonna. Feral is more like sound art, albeit sound art that doesn't explicitly identify its sources the way Francisco Lopez, to pick one example, does. The first of this disc's four untitled tracks is composed primarily of whooshing and roaring noises that sound like a raging fire or a strong wind blowing a huge sheet of paper against a contact microphone, or maybe some combination of the two. The second track begins with feedback-laced ringing/clanging sounds that could have been made with an electric guitar, or could be a doorbell amplified to absurd levels and warped beyond recognition. It's hard to say. The third track combines the rattling of small rocks with some of the same whooshing/roaring sounds heard at the beginning of the disc, layer upon layer of sound accreting until the piece is an overwhelming, room-filling wave of noise, buzzing and scraping like a construction site. The fourth and final track is the most subtle and beautiful of all: it begins with the sound of wind and eventually makes its way toward a huge drone. Feral, despite its title and the picture of a snarling dog that adorns its cover, is not an all-out assault. It's loud, and definitely not traditionally structured, but it has moments of great beauty. ~ Phil Freeman

The Wire (p.63) - "Each track is structured like a wedge, beginning softly, building up over its length, gathering volume and density until a limit is reached."

Fantastic seller! My item took longer than normal to arrive but that's due to them sending me the wrong dvd. Not to worry though, I contacted them and they arranged for the correct dvd to be sent out. My item has now arrived and the dvd was in excellent condition (brand new as described) and it was very well packaged. I would also like to say that the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this seller, thank you so much! The issue with the wrong dvd was quickly rectified .

Book arrived safely packaged in perfect order. Item as described, new. Thank you Rarewaves Outlet. Fascinating book, great addition to my collection. Great price. Would recommended this seller. No communication needed with seller, so don't know what to rate with regards to communication (please dont take lack of feedback on this matter as a negative). Thanks again.

This vinyl is really reasonably priced and I love that it is one of the more unusual colours. It arrived well packaged, undamaged and looks as described. It arrived late, due to Royal Mail's Festive rush, but was dispatched by the seller really quickly. When I contacted them to ask where it was, they replied really quickly with a helpful solution. Such good customer service, so strongly recommend. Really happy with my purchase.
