Este libro asume la laboriosa -y hasta ahora desatendida- tarea de escrutar las diferencias entre Espana e Hispanoamerica en la practica de la traduccion audiovisual. El estudio parte de la serie de TV South Park, para la cual hay dos doblajes en espanol: uno destinado a Hispanoamerica y otro a Espana. El exhaustivo analisis de la traduccion de unidades de medida, nombres propios, metaforas, fraseologismos y juegos verbales permite dibujar a nivel linguistico un cuadro nitido de los recursos de traduccion utilizados en ambas versiones. Dentro de una imagen mas amplia, los hallazgos se evaluan en base a la teoria de los polisistemas de Even-Zohar y al concepto de la norma inicial de Toury y revelan los diferentes mecanismos de influencia del polisistema origen sobre los polisistemas meta.

The blue vinyl colour is darker than in the generic picture used (see my photo of actual vinyl colour). Nevertheless, it’s still a nice package with the very nice illustration booklet inside. Delivery time is a little stretched, but with free postage and a good value package, this has to be expected (delay was probably caused by the royal mail anyway). Communication was excellent and I’m glad I made my purchase from Rarewaves Outlet. Thumbs Up!
