At what I paid for this snowblower, it did the job, even in the storm that hit the whole country The first time out, it went thru 3 inches of snow and i was able to do my whole drive, front walk and patio. Second time around as the snow got heavier, i made it about 3/4 of my drive before having to recharge. The batteries DO NOT last very long in heavier snow and at 10 inches, it will bog out and you will have to restart. For the price and for the battery voltage and amps, this is to be expected. ALL in all, it did the job and recharging the batteries did not bother me as even in heavier snow, it was able to throw the snow without clogging once. Point the chute upwards and at a slight angle and it will not clog. To sum it up, it sure beats shoveling! It is rated as a Medium duty snowblower, SO, snow at 1 foot or more is not to be expected, without taking small bites out of the snow, by lifting the blower, throwing the snow, then lowering to finish off. It went through over 1 foot of snow on my walkway, without clogging once, by doing this. I also noted that the batteries HAVE to be seated all the way, otherwise the unit will shut off after about 2 seconds, as the vibration of the machine will push them back out, just enough to shut the machine off. Look for the light to be on, as this will tell you if the batteries are seated or not. CONS are that the batteries are EXTREMELY Expensive, so buying backup batteries are almost as much as this machine cost. Snow Joe has 8AH batteries now, but look at the cost.Read full review

Great little machine except when snow is heavy and wet. Dry stuff it chews through the snow once it gets wet it clogs the chute but will still throw it out the front

The first one I received started but would not keep running and I had to take it to UPS to be returned and replaced. The second one arrived a few days later and was not as pre assembled as the first and was missing some minor associated parts ( clips to hold the chute clean out tool to the frame ) it ran fine and is very quiet and lightweight and I can't wait to. try it out in the snow. I was given a credit on the first unit and then charged more for the second one. All things considered if it works as advertised I'd buy a reconditioned unit again because the price was right and it has a wonderful guarantee. I bought it because I have a Sun Joe pressure washer that I like.

It's got a very small battery life, and it couldn't finish half of my driveway. The battery lasted about 10 minutes. It says it comes with 2 batteries, but both have to be in the blower at the same time in order for it to work, and they drain at the same time, so it's more like it comes with 2 halves of a battery instead of 2 batteries. When it did have a charge, the blower was decently powerful, but nothing compared to a gas snow blower. It would also constantly get clogged, meaning I would have to stop every minute or so to unclog it. Just get a gas show blower or shovel.
