Had a large spot on my carpet that would not come completely out regardless of what I used. I decided to try the Bissell Spotlifter. I put hot water in the resevoir (didn't use a cleaning product), turned it on and let it do it's job. After it sucked up the dirty water and I removed the Bissell from the spot, the rug was clean. No more spot! When sucking up the water, you do have to press down fairly hard if you have a "high" pile carpet and might use a towel to soak up the residue if any. I haven't used it on a low pile carpet yet but I think it will get up the majority of the water.

built well bought it for it being a Bissell, with that being said the dispenser works well the brush seems to be powerful enough, But the suction is none at all. will not extract any of the spot you are trying to clean. very disappointing especially with it being a known brand for carpet care.

I bought this because my really big steam cleaner bit the dust. I needed something I could use that would be quick to set up and easy to clean while also doing a good job on spots. I have had it for two weeks and used it five or six times (I have three sons and a puppy I am trying to house-train). I always have something to clean up. It came out of the box pretty much ready to use. There is one removable small tank on the back (on top) for cleaning solution and water. Then a second larger removable tank on the bottom that slides in a out for waste water. There is also a set of cleaning brushes that can be removed for cleaning. It works better if you pick up and big chunks or large pieces of what ever has been spilled on the floor. For example I've had to clean up throw up and just got the big pieces off the floor and then put the Spot Lifter to work. I have very pleased with this little machine. I don't think you'd try to do a whole room with but as the name implies it is good for Spot Lifting! This was a good investment on my part. I hope someone else will find it as useful as I have.Read full review
Love it! Works well! One has to remember it is a "spotlifter!" I bought it used and I would not have hesitated buying one for full retail price! It has never failed me! I love it! A friend used it after they had rented a "rug Doctor" machine that in my opinion did not do as well as I thought my little spotlifter could do. I was right! Their carpet looked like a new carpet and room smelled so fresh when finished (much better than that. Supposedly professional rental! It is policy in my home, even with visitors and children 3yrs and up. You spill or see unknown wet spot, run grab spotlifter and use it. Pull that liquid up and then clean. Even the 3 yr old knows how to use it properly! I have the advantage to keep it stored in a location that anyone can grab it ASAP when needed, with the cleaning fluid already mixed and in the little tank in the machine. Remember it is a spotlifter and does great. I guess if you are willing to do every spot properly on the full carpet; then you could do it, but that is a lot of work.....even then, if done properly and patiently it would be cleaned! Also, follow the directions. Do not assume you know how to use it. One has to pull any fluid sitting in the carpet first with it. Then spray on spot(whole area of spot after all fluid from spill is up), scrub well. Pull/suck up the cleaning liquid you just put on there and scrubbed with. If it is a deep spot, one may want to repeat it, but it will come up with the right cleaning product and this little spotlifter, including pet accidents. Oh, also it is advisable to clean it after every use in my opinion, including the brush and internal area where dirty tank is. Keep it clean so it always works perfect without getting stopped up. I say that because I beleive that is why the person I bought it from used thought it was broke. It was so clogged up, it did not clean well from not being cleaned, Buy with confidence. Works great! Small enough and easy enough our 3 yr old uses it correctly (teach them proper use before they need it.) God blessRead full review

This is good for cleaning small spots not the whole carpet. You have to bend way over to use it. It doesn't suck up as much of the cleaning formula as I had hoped it would. It still does a pretty good job, you can keep working on the spot till you get it out. The rotating brushes scrub out the stain. The price was the main reason I decided to buy this. I have to use a cane to walk so I can use this onehanded. The cleaning formulas are kind of expensive. Try to buy this as cheap as you can, I think this is as good as any other model.
This little vacuum works great. The only thing I was disappointed in is that the sprayer isn't continuous. You have to manually spray the solution out. It's really not a big deal though. I just expected to hold the trigger and the cleaner would spray out until I let it go. I have a new puppy, so this cleaner is never far away. When cleaning up an 'accident' I saw a really old stain on the carpet and thought I'd give it a try. It took up that spot and I'm certain it had been there for years! Very happy with this product.
I have the older model which required to charge the battery, it is troublesome than this new item with 18 ' power cord, I use this portable carpet vacuum cleaner all the time for the three small dogs in the house, I like this product very much , it is easy to use.

I love the ease of the use of my bissell spotlifter. Not only am I able to clean my furniture, but I can also do my curtains, spills, window sills, mattress's. You name it Bissell will clean up the mess and make it smell fresh. And, the seller in which I had purchased the product from works with you to be sure that you can obtain all the products you need such as the little Green Bottle Cleaner at a good price! This product is a must for all of those who hate those hard to clean areas and those little spills and messes, brightens your furniture and freshens!
I bought it to shampoo the carpet when my cat sometimes over shoots his litter box. It did the job very well I am very pleased with the results. I would not recommend. After using it several times it doesn't pick up the water very well. I stopped using it. I have a dirt devil upright cleaner that does a much better joy and I don't have to get on the floor .

Easy to fill and empty but the spray trigger is a little sticky when spraying the cleaner. Works well on small area's.
