JAY AND SILENT BOB GET IRISH, is one of a series of live 'Jay & silent Bob get old" DVD's that captures the wonderful witty,'no holes barred' shtick, stories and anecdotes of 'Clerk's' two original slacker icons 'Jay and silent Bob', live. This one held in Dublin. While the show may be more suited to long term fans and followers due to the language and contextual nature of the jokes. On the other hand good comedy is good comedy. The charm of these two has always been their incredible level of openness, availability and tenacity to laugh at the most personally embarrassing things about themselves they can conjure, making for great comedy, drawn from their two decade reign in and out the movie business, friendship, drug addiction and ... The unsung heroes of the "jay & silent Bob live DVDs though are its dedicated audiences of fans in attendance, whom ask whacky questions and participate in some of the onstage antics. For the 'first timer' to these videos Kevin smith, once described as the man with his finger on the pulse of the 'slacker generation' is as quick witted and charismatic as ever and far from being lost in his shadow, Jay appears to have found his voice (albeit a gravelly one). I recommend this to anyone with a real sense of humour.
