Picks Up Where The First Film Left Off
This film picks up exactly where the first film left off --- always a plus, since many sequels are similar to the original but change important details. The surviving children of Gatlin move to a nearby town, but continue their evil corn-worshipping ways. This has more blood and on-screen gore than the original. Where the original had a fairly straightforward explanation [kids are prompted to kill adults by a demon in the cornfield], the sequel throws in cornstalks that kill by themselves, due to contamination by a pollutant, and evil corn farmers who want to cover up the contamination so they can get top dollar for their crops. Throw in a mysterious Native American college professor, a tabloid reporter at odds with his son, a sexy teenage girl who falls in love with the son, a female ... This film picks up exactly where the first film left off --- always a plus, since many sequels are similar to the original but change important details. The surviving children of Gatlin move to a nearby town, but continue their evil corn-worshipping ways. This has more blood and on-screen gore than the original. This film won't win any Academy Awards, but it's entertaining and watchable, and deserves credit simply for introducing so many different subplots and resolving them all. Don't let the title fool you. This isn't the FINAL sacrifice. As of this writing there are 5 additional sequels to CHILDREN OF THE CORN.

THIS IS THE BEST RELEASED DVD OF THIS FILM!
Nice to have this long, awaited DVD. This is the DVD that you want to get of this film to complete your collection. The other versions that are out there of this film have alot lacking in picture quality. I previously had the Top Ten Media (region 0) release, and it dosen't come even close as good as this one. In fact, there are some scenes missing from the Top Ten Media release. This is the best copy of the film available, and also the cheapest. Buy now, before this goes out of printNice to have this long, awaited DVD. This is the DVD that you want to get of this film to complete your collection.
