About this product

Product Information

French filmmaking brothers Jules and Gedeon Naudet came to New York in the fall of 2001 to make a documentary about a rookie fireman from Manhattan's Engine 7, Ladder 1 company. On the morning of September 11, while the production was still in the early stages of filming, the project become something that no one could ever have expected: the Naudet brothers accompanying firefighters to the World Trade Center and capturing on film their valiant efforts to get survivors to safety. Originally broadcast on CBS television, 9/11 is a heartfelt, often shocking--but never exploitative--portrayal of the horrific events of that historic and tragic day. A portion of the proceeds from the video will benefit the Uniformed Firefighters' Association Scholarship Fund.

  • I bought this video and it was exactly what I wanted!

I had seen this documentary back in 2002 on TV. I had recorded it and lent it to someone and never got it back. I found this documentary on Ebay and when I saw it again it was better than the show, uncut and the original version. There is a different one out with Robert Dinero narrating the documentary. I prefer this one because the film maker narrates it for you. This film is about a rookie fireman's experience on the job for the first year. The brother's who filmed the movie were filming the rookie and were on a call on the particular day of September 11, 2001. The day that the World Trade Center was attacked. They caught this on film by sheer coincedence. This film is graphic and has profanity in it. It is as close as you could get to the Twin Towers that day. It was filmed inside Tower ...

  • SAD & FRIGHTENING

I had heard about this film, and wanted to see it. But it was, while excellently made and documented, one of the saddest movies I have ever watched. It was sad and scary in a way that only reality provides. It was a true testament to the heroes in New York, the fire fighters and others who rushed to the rescue of so many. I think it is a film really worth watching. Denise
