Beautiful pictures, good information
The pictures in this book are all good, clear color photos. Most of the book is pictures. The first 33 pages have very good information about rhinestone jewelry for the collector. The information about the history of costume jewelry and dating jewelry is very interesting. The only disappointment for me is that the author does not give any dates or even general time periods for any of the jewelry pictured in this book. Nor does she give any hints as to how she decided on the prices she assigned to most of the pieces. Disappointment
I bought this book specifically for identification of Makers of unsigned Costume Jewelry, which is what I thought I was getting. Not so. Just shows photos and describes the object. I still have to do my own research to try to determine the Maker. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money.

I belong to a newly formed Vintage Costume Jewelry Group. As a new member and collector, this book gives me information about many of the old designers and their styles. It has many great color pictures along with other valuable information. The leader of my Vintage Jewelry Group recommended this book to us and I have found it worth every cent. I will sit with it in the evening and go thru it again and again and everytime I do I find something new that I haven't seen before.I belong to a newly formed Vintage Costume Jewelry Group. BEST COSTUME JEWELRY BOOK EVER!!!
I have all of Marcia "Sparkles" Browns books on jewelry and this one is by far the best. I have this book and I'm buying this copy for my good friend who is also in to Vintage Jewelry. The pictures in this book are excellent and very clear. The descriptions are very good also. It's helped me with my wording when listing jewelry. I refer back to it again and again. I just love the fact that it has all the unsigned pieces in it. It's a GREAT book and I'm sure if you buy it you will agree. Worth every penny!!!
