Prompt & secure shipping. Too heavy to open completely, so the gift receiver will be the true judge. But from what I could see, this looks to be a wonderful collection. An A+ seller here, most definitely.

  • great book with even greater content

This book is a wonderful read for anyone who has ever wanted to know how special effects were created for the Star Wars trilogy, Poltergeist (the white dragon), Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Back to the Future and many more. It's a very wonderful book that has been thoughtfully written up, and it does talk about the people who helped bring the special effects to life. I would recommend this book to anybody, as I've said before, who wants to know how things worked in the movies. The pages are full color and very explanatory with full color pictures and centerfolds frequently that feature different scenes from the Different Star Wars movies. I love this book and its contents, and I am very glad I purchased it from eBay.

  • A "must have" book about special effects in a pre-digital era.

It is a wonderful book. Tells the history of ILM - industrial light and magic - And their works of production and post production on Steven Spielberg and George lucas films. There are chapters specifically about modeling and miniatures used In Star wars first trilogy and Star Treck the first cinema movies. This book is a "must have" for all those that apreciate model-making, special effects and Stop motion. Is was a great purchase.
