  • Trial of Socrates by I. F. Stone (1998)

Recently Katie Kouric of CBS news asked the presidential candidates "other than the Bible and the U.S. constitution what book would you take with you to the White House?" John Edwards, democratic candidate, named this book. He said it has a lot to say about justice and fairness, freedom and ideas. I like John and if this book made that much of an impression on him i want to read it. I now have the book but i haven't read it yet. Ebay is great! i found a nice clean hard back copy at a very reasonable price.

  • It is study of Athenian Democracy and puts into context of its times & the trial of Socrates

It is a book I have read in the past, and wanted to give it as a gift.
