A Must Book for Wives
This is one of my favorite book. So much wisdom and encouragement. If you have anger and resentment to your husband and you feel like punching him on his face, before doing that might as well give this a read and it will just turn your thoughts and feelings the opposite. It is always a great feeling after reading this that you realize why you married the man of your life despite of the things we don't like about them and This book made me realize everytime I read it that husbands are blessing given by God to wives. Just amazing. I suggest to read and re-read. I do a chapter per day so I'll be able to reflect each day.This is one of my favorite book. So much wisdom and encouragement. Prayer is powerful and there is no better way to support and love your husband then to pray for him! A great book to help any marriage. Stormie (the author) gives many example prayers for various topics such as, finances, his choices, his mind, friends, addiction, spiritual walk and many others. Wonderful powerful prayers to pray over your husband to help him in life. She also gives stories of how praying has helped her marriage and others. Prayer is powerful and there is no better way to support and love your husband then to pray for him! The book is clear, easy to read and also gives scriptures on each topic. I pray daily with this book and the Bible. This certainly is not a replacement for the Bible, but helps greatly in praying specific prayers for your husband and gives great ... Great book for any woman
I've read this book more than once and given multiple copies away to my friends. It is an easy read and explains so many different ways and areas of a husband's life that we, as their wives, need to pray for that we may not have thought of on our own. Each chapter has a sample prayer at the end to guide you in praying for your husband. I think it is a great book for young unmarried women to read before they enter into marriage as well. You can never be too prepared to enter into a marriage so that you have a better chance at having a good and lasting one. Marriage is not a fairytale; it takes a lot of work, sacrifice, selfless-ness and prayer. However, if you put all of these things into it, it is so very worth it. Good News for Marriages in Power of a Praying Wife
I bought this book because Stormie Omartian writes about marriage first, as a Christian and secondly, as someone who struggled in a difficult marriage. She gives hope that marriages can be saved because hers was saved! Omartian does NOT recommend that women stay in dangerous or physically abusive situations. Omartian writes very well and very clearly. She writes powerful prayers and backs it all up with Scriptures that are easy to understand and that make sense for the topic. This book has sold very well and I think it is because it gives us a different perspective as to what is happening. If you don't believe in evil or that Satan exists in the world, this book is probably not for you. But if you want to believe that there IS a way you can make it, that there IS a way to save your ... This is probably the one book that I have read through more times than any other. It is set up with 30 things to pray for your husband which I take one a day and use it as a monthly devotional. It changed me as much as it changed my husband and looking back it was probably a key to saving our marriage. I give this as a wedding gift as much as possible, because I want other wives to learn all this book has to teach earlier in life than I had the opportunity to learn. Warning: You may need to read it through several times like me before certain points hit your heart. It is so worth it.This is probably the one book that I have read through more times than any other.
