    30-yr old low or zero carb-fat-sugar recipes, which fully support cooking for the modern diet

    I came across Kerr's "MiniMax Cooking" TV series on Amazon Prime Video in Feb 2020, some 30 years after he'd filmed the shows. The 'low carb, sugar, fat" cooking was intriguing enough to pursue the recipes, thus this purchase. To my surprise, the cookbook has NONE of the recipes he cooks on the shows, but is full of other great recipes that I will use. Looking through the TV episodes again, I realize that Kerr DID give the amounts for each product he was adding (for the most part), so I'll have to re-watch again (while taking notes), to pick up the recipes on the shows. Cookbooks in general are becoming passe, and I've given away my fair share over time. This however, is a good resource for the type of cooking I need now, as I approach mid-60's. Just wish I'd find this back when he'd ...

    healthy food cookbook

    Minimax describes 2 very different courses of action in preparing food, both of which must take place together. MINI stands for minimizing known health risks because you care. MAX stands for maximizing eating enjoyment by adding aroma, color, & texture because you want to please. If you want to prepare healthy food that tastes great, this book might interest you. Pros: Nice Pictures. A lengthy book with lots of recipes and information; the book doesn't skimp on details. Good recipes overall. (Some not to my taste, but most are fine.) The price- you can usually find this book on ebay for super cheap. Cons: The book is somewhat disorganized, and there are places that are a little confusing.

    Very interesting book well ahead of its time.

    Graham Kerr is the first cook I watched on TV and got me interested in cooking. He was fun, he was interesting, I think his was the forerunner of enteraining on cooking shows. Julia Childs was around and was maybe a better cook but you laughed with Graham Kerr much more. Even his foible of getting a drink as a self congradulation was very different.
